Mamámoda Introduces Hybrid Maternity-Nursing Clothes as Part of New Line

by Anonymous

FOREST HILLS, NY March 18, 2004 -- Mamámoda, a specialty apparel company for pregnant and nursing mothers, today announced it has introduced maternity clothes, including hybrids for pregnancy and breastfeeding. With the new line, available through specialty stores in the U.S. and abroad as well as through its Internet store at www.mamamoda.com, Mamámoda now offers women a broad range of nursing and maternity wear.

The hybrid garments, called Primissima™, give mothers the convenience and value of one wardrobe suitable for pregnancy, the breastfeeding stage and beyond. The clothes’ shapes and fabrics are designed to accommodate the mother’s body changes, as her belly expands during pregnancy and gradually returns to its pre-pregnancy shape after birth.

At this time, the Primissima™ line mostly features black and grey tones and is comprised of six styles, of which three are suitable for work and other formal occasions, and three are more casual. Just like Mamámoda’s regular nursing wear, these clothes have concealed nursing openings for easy and discreet access to the breasts, allowing a mother to breastfeed her baby in public without exposing herself, in comfort and with style.

The Company’s new line also features comfortable and fashionable maternity wear in cheerful, vibrant and elegant colors. The clothes come in six styles, including tops, wrap-around dresses and a pant set. The wrap-arounds are versatile, as they can be worn during and after pregnancy.

“When talking to retailers about our apparel, I was surprised to realize that many had a hard time to find attractive, high-quality maternity clothes for wholesale,” stated Frances Pflaumer, Mamámoda’s President, Chief Designer and founder. “The apparent continued need for such clothes led me to create maternity wear.”

She continued, “Since the Company has traditionally focused on nursing fashions, I did not want to design just another line of maternity clothes. So I thought about ways to combine the two concepts, and the result was Primissima™. I am very excited about these clothes, which I believe offer an attractive additional choice to pregnant moms who intend to breastfeed.”
